We rely on strong partnerships with organizations in the community to build our corps of volunteer tutors. Our Community Partners have helped us by:

Holding a Book Drive

Typically a 2-3 week drive within the organization to collect new and gently used books for our students.  For many of our students, the books they’ve been given from these drives are the only books they have at home.  We love helping them to build a personal library!

Hosting a Fundraising Event

We rely on our donors to provide the funds necessary to expand our team of tutors. Community Partners help us in this endeavor by hosting events, ranging from breakfasts to brewery bashes and black tie affairs.  Let’s brainstorm how your organization can sponsor us with an event.

Hosting an Information Session

ALP holds tutor recruitment events throughout the year. Our Community Partners support us in this effort by providing meeting space and refreshments for these events.

Inviting us to Make a Presentation at your Meeting

The best way for us to recruit new tutors is to get ourselves in front of as many prospects as possible! We are happy to speak to your organization about our work in the Greater Charlotte community – invite us!

Book Drive
Hosting a book drive at your organization is a great way to support ALP! We love to help our students build their personal libraries!
